    Blade Blast


    Blade Blast is a spell that creates an area of effect explosion that deals physical damage. The explosion chains to any Lingering Blades left on the ground by Bladefall and Ethereal Knives, and blades created by Blade Vortex. If used with Blade Vortex, all stacks of it will be consumed immediately, creating an expanding ring around the player.

    Skill functions and interactions

    The damage and level of the skill that leaves lingering blades on the ground is not calculated in the blade blast damage. Lower level skills can create more blades in certain situations. For example:

    • Keeping skills low enough to support a level one Cast when Damage Taken Support, will give the best chance to create maximum blades from damage taken.

    Lingering blades from Ethereal Knives and Bladefall will persist after unequipping them. Therefore using said skills on a weapon swap and then swapping back to blade blast will save gem slots.
