# Rain of Arrows For the Vaal-themed counterpart, see [[Vaal Rain of Arrows]]. Rain of Arrows is a ranged attack skill that fires a number of arrows in the air, with each of them landing to deal area of effect over a short period of time. ## Skill functions and interactions - **Targeting**: Half of the arrows will attempt to target a creature within their range, while the other half will land randomly. A single enemy can be hit multiple times. - Additional Arrows/Projectiles: Any source of additional arrows/projectiles is added to the total number of arrows fired, thus making support gems like [[Lesser Multiple Projectiles Support]] and [[Greater Multiple Projectiles Support]] very inefficient. Additional arrows will be added at the outer portion of the Area of Effect, effectively increasing the AoE of the skill. - **Delay**: Rain of Arrows will impact after a delay equal to the attack time, so the first attack will land as the second is being launched. Projectile Speed modifiers affect the delay. - **Projectile damage**: Like any Bow skill, Rain of Arrows deals projectile damage and will be affected by any appropriate damage modifiers, such as [[Vicious Projectiles Support]]. - [[Point Blank Support]]/keystone passive: Distant enemies hit by the same area of effect will take less damage than enemies near the location of the attacker. - **Pierce**, Fork and Chain: Projectiles from Rain of Arrows land on the ground dealing area damage and disappear - they cannot fork, chain nor pierce. Several unique items, such as [[Drillneck]], [[Gloomfang]] or [[Slivertongue]] don't benefit Rain of Arrows with their special conditional modifiers.
