# Atlas anomaly Atlas anomalies or simply anomalies are a group of small special endgame areas that are found on, but disconnected from, the Atlas of Worlds that often contain valuable rewards or encounters. They can randomly manifest after completing a map in an Atlas quadrant affected by a Voidstone. The specific Atlas anomalies that can spawn differ based on the Atlas quadrant the completed map was in. ## Mechanics Once spawned, Atlas anomalies will persist on the Atlas until entered. Unlike maps or other endgame areas, Atlas anomalies do not require a map item or a map fragment or other access item. Instead, they can be directly opened through the map device. Atlas anomalies are not affected by the Atlas Passive Skill Tree or other modifiers other than those of the area itself. Certain Atlas anomalies may also have additional quirks; for example, the anomaly that spawns Cadiro will not disappear until the player completes purchasses an item from Cadiro or skip all of his offers. The area can be entered and exited any number of times prior to this.
