    Mechanics

    This jewel doubles the base duration of Fortify from 4 seconds to 8 seconds. Fortify duration is increased normally by Vigilant Strike, Fortify Support, as well as by any other x% increased Fortify duration modifiers. The final duration of this fortify applies to nearby allies for the full duration. Fortify with a shorter duration will not override this effect. It is unknown if a stronger fortify with more x% increased effect of Fortify on You will override a fortify with more duration.

    When using General's Cry with Vigilant Strike, the summoned minions apply Fortif to the player and nearby allies. Using The Writhing Jar with vigilant strike will give fortify outside of combat that lasts a long time.

    Snapshot

    The fortify buff Snapshots on use. This means you still gain the benefits of fortify after unequipping Vigilant Strike and/or The Vigil. The simplest way to do this is by weapon swapping.
