# Divine Orb A Divine Orb is a currency item that can be used to re-roll the values of all random explicit modifiers on a piece of equipment. ## 3.19 Exalted and Divine Orbs * Divine Orbs and Exalted Orbs actually have the same drop rate, but Exalted Orbs are worth so much more in trade value because there's no easy vendor recipe for them and because they're consumed when you craft certain meta-mods onto items. * Out of these two currency items, we would actually prefer the Divine Orb effect to be rarer, so that unique items with good rolls matter more, and so that players can exalt-craft their items more frequently. * We are making two changes that will impact this. Firstly, we are changing the cost of crafting metamods so that they cost Divine Orbs rather than Exalted Orbs. Secondly, we are changing the 6-link vendor recipe to grant 20 Orbs of Fusing rather than a Divine Orb. Details: * The "Prefixes cannot be Changed", "Suffixes cannot be Changed", and "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers" crafts now have a cost of 2 Divine Orbs (previously 2 Exalted Orbs). * The "Cannot roll Attack Mods" craft now has a cost of 1 Divine Orb (previously 1 Exalted Orb). * The "Cannot roll Caster Mods" craft now has a cost of 1 Divine Orb (previously 5 Blessed Orbs). * Veiled Modifiers that had a Divine Orb cost when crafted now have an Exalted Orb or Chaos Orb cost instead. * Divine Orbs sold by Tujen, the Haggler or found as a Ritual Reward now have the same cost as Exalted Orbs. * The Heist Trinket modifiers that provide a chance for Regal Orbs to drop as Divine Orbs instead in Heists now provide up to 4% at the highest tier (previously 5%), to match Trinket modifiers that provide a chance for Regal Orbs to drop as Exalted Orbs. * These Heist Trinket modifiers and the Trinket modifier that provides a chance for Chaos Orbs to drop as Divine Orbs have had their levels adjusted to match similar modifiers that provide a chance for Regal Orbs or Chaos Orbs to drop as Exalted Orbs. * The drop rate of Forbidden Shako, Judging Voices, Ventor's Gamble and The Risk has also been increased as a result of these changes. * The Bestiary recipe that rerolls the numeric values of all modifiers of a Rare item has been changed. It now transforms a Gilded Scarab to a Winged Scarab of the same type. * Selling an item with 6 Linked Sockets to a vendor now yields 20 Orbs of Fusing, instead of a Divine Orb. ## Obtaining Divine Orbs are extremely rare currency items that can be dropped by slain monsters, chests, and destructible containers. They also drop from Arcanist's Strongboxes. They can also be obtained by selling a six-linked item to a vendor. ## Spending Divine Orbs re-roll the values of explicit values of modifiers. This can only be used on magic, rare, or unique items. Only the values of affixes that have a range of values will be randomized. A Divine Orb will not change the tier of the affix; it will only re-roll within its current tier. When a Divine Orb is used on a legacy variant of a unique item, affixes will re-roll to the new range of values.[1] When using on a magic or rare item, the affix will re-roll assuming the new range of the same tier. If a new modifier was added to a unique item, the new modifier will not spawn. In cases where a modifier was removed, the affix will become disabled with a hidden value of zero.[2] This also means that magic or rare items will have a hidden mod that will prevent new mods from being crafted.[3] A Divine Orb does not change a unique item's Style Variant (for example, Doryani's Invitation).
