Trypanon

Trypanon is a unique Great Mallet.

Mechanics

Attacks using Trypanon are always critical strikes. This is not the same as having 100% critical strike chance, as a second accuracy roll is not needed to confirm a critical strike.

Modifiers to critical strike chance, such as reduced Critical Strike Chance and less Critical Strike Chance, do not affect Trypanon's guaranteed critical strike. In particular, when Marylene's Fallacy is equipped, all attacks remain critical strikes.

When the keystone Resolute Technique is allocated, its effect overrides Trypanon's modifier and the player cannot deal critical strikes.

Version history

Version	Changes
3.17.0	Trypanon now has "This Weapon's Critical Strike Chance is 100%" instead of "All Attacks with this Weapon are Critical Strikes". This change means that modifiers to Critical Strike Chance can reduce the weapon's critical chance below 100% now.
3.16.0	The following Uniques have been added to the core drop pool: Seven-League Step, Umbilicus Immortalis, Trypanon, Varunastra, and Zerphi's Last Breath.
2.6.0	Base type implicit mod increased to 30% increased Stun Duration on Enemies (up from 20%).
