Fractured item

Fractured items are of a special type of item base that was introduced in the Synthesis league. Fractured items have at least one affix that is permanently fixed on the item. Fractured items were used to create Synthesised items in the Synthesis league.

Currently, items with fractured mod(s) are dropped in Heist, or created via harvest crafting.

In the Synthesis league, fractured items could be found in memory zones, and some unique items dropped as fractured items.

Mechanics

  • Fractured items have its own symbol before and after the item name: .

  • Fractured items can have one permanent "Fractured" mod (up to three fractured mods for legacy items). These mods cannot be removed (by Orb of Annulment or Orb of Scouring, etc.) or changed by Divine Orb in any way. The mod is gold in color.

  • When using an Orb of Scouring on a fractured item, it will turn into a Magic item if it had one fractured mod or a Rare item if it had two or three fractured mods. (For crafting purposes, players could create a Rare item with one fractured affix by using a Regal Orb then an Orb of Annulment).

  • Fractured items cannot be turned into unique items with an Orb of Chance.

  • Fractured items can drop in Heists currently and never could have an influence.

  • When harvesting Ersi, Mother of Thorns, it would reveal a one-time use crafting option, which transforms an item's base into a fractured base and locks in one of its modifiers.

  • Fractured items cannot be influenced using Elderslayer's Exalted Orbs or Awakener's Orb. Influenced items also cannot be fractured using Harvest crafting.

  • Fractured items cannot be used in split the item beastcrafting recipe.

The following properties are no longer in the game. They were available in past leagues only.

  • It could be obtained as a world drop from memory in the synthesis league.
  • Fractured items could be used in the Synthesiser with two other Rare fractured items of the same item class (for example: gloves, thrusting swords, etc.) to create a synthesised item, which had special implicit modifiers based on the mods of the fractured items.
