5-Shaped Regions apply a baseline effect to every affected map, and each map within the region has a specific completion condition. Whenever you complete a Map within a Shaped Region, every other map in the Shaped Region gains an additional modifier. This makes your maps more and more intense as you progress, with the relevant mechanic getting juiced to the extreme.
