Mechanics

The Pain Attunement mod has the same effect as the Pain Attunement keystone. Taking the keystone in addition to equipping this item will impart no additional benefit.

Version history

Version	Changes
3.19.0	Now grants +150-225 to maximum Energy Shield (previously +60-80). Now has +25 Physical Damage taken from Attack Hits (previously +5). Existing versions of this item can be updated to the new values with a Divine Orb.
1.2.0	Crown of Thorns now grants 60-80 flat energy shield. Existing versions of the item will change to a value in the new range if a Divine Orb is used on it.
0.9.6	Introduced to the game.
