Death Aura

The Death Aura skill granted by Death's Oath is affected by any relevant support gem that is also socketed in Death's Oath. It does not require the socket to be linked.

Since the skill is granted by the item rather than a skill gem, it is not affected by Empower Support, Enlighten Support, or Enhance Support.

As a red (strength) gem socket is not the desired colour for a Death Aura build, and because Death's Oath has a high strength requirement, it is recommended to use a Crafting Bench and the add-socket / remove-socket method to recolour the socket of this item.

3.17.1	Fixed a bug where the Auras granted by the Death's Oath and Corona Solaris Unique Items could be supported by Divine Blessing. The description on Death's Oath has also been updated to clarify it triggers Death Aura, rather than granting it.
3.14.0	Death Aura now deals 758 Base Chaos Damage per second (previously 563).
3.1.0	Now properly updates its behaviour when items, passives or skills change it in some way.
3.0.0	The chaos damage-over-time aura is now a skill that activates on equipping Death's Oath, and is modified by socketed support gems as well as modifiers that affect auras, area of effect, damage over time and chaos damage. It now also grants +60-70 Maximum Life, and the Physical Attack leeched as Life is now Attack Damage leeched as Life.
2.1.0	Fixed a bug where the Death's Oath aura dealt too little damage to monsters and too much damage to players.
2.0.0	The Debuff applied upon killing an enemy now only lasts 3 seconds. Multiple leech effects now stack. A single hit against multiple targets grants multiple effects, as do multiple hits against a single target.{{efn\|name=Pre-2.0.0 legacy variant}} All existing values of leech have been substantially reduced, including values on existing items.
0.11.6	Fixed a bug where the aura from Death's Oath would activate when a player was revived in a PvP match even if the item was disabled.
