# Watcher's Eye Watcher's Eye is a unique [[Prismatic Jewel]], that provides between 4-6% increased life, mana and energy shield, along with 2 or 3 offensive and/or defensive mods that operate only if specific auras are active. They are one of the few items in the game that are universally used in all builds, due to the highly variable and random modifiers that they can drop with. Their modifiers are unique, highly powerful, cannot be crafted on other Prismatic Jewels, and are unobtainable on Cluster Jewels as well. Depending on the roll, a Watcher's Eye can be of the most valuable items in the game. A 3-mod Watcher's Eye can be valued anywhere from a few [[Exalted Orb]]s to hundreds of [[Exalted Orb]] if it has 3 mods that work extremely well together. Such items are highly valuable because they are unique, cannot be duplicated or replicated, and cannot be crafted by players. A 2-mod Watcher's Eye can drop from [[The Elder]] encounter, if [[The Shaper]] is kept alive during the captured phase. A 3-mod Watcher's Eye only drops from the Uber Elder encounter. The drop rate of a Watcher's Eye can be increased by unlocking the Gaze into the Abyss Atlas passive skill within the The Uncharted Realms. The numeric values of mods on the Watcher's Eye can be modified using [[Divine Orb]], but the mods itself cannot be rerolled using [[Chaos Orb]] or [[Ancient Orb]]. It can be corrupted using [[Vaal Orb]] for a chance at obtaining a valuable Vaal implicit, but this has the risk of bricking the item, by turning it into a rare item, or simply adding the Corrupted modifier without changing the item, and is therefore seldom attempted. Implicit modifiers can also be added to this jewel by using Harvest crafting, which does not corrupt the item. ## Item acquisition Can only drop from [[The Elder]] if the Shaper lives (2 mods variant) and from The Uber Elder (3 mod variant). It cannot be chanced. ### Monster restrictions This item can be acquired from the following monsters: - [[The Elder]] - The Uber Elder ## Implicit modifiers If a Watcher's Eye is corrupted with a [[Vaal Orb]], it has a chance of obtaining the a corrupted implicit modifier. Corrupting an item also has a high chance of bricking (destroying) the item, and players should be ready to lose the item if they attempt to do so. Harvest crafting can also add implicit mods to the Watcher's Eye. ## Examples ### Ranger build For example, an [[Ice Shot]] Deadeye build would use a Watchers Eye that operates if [[Hatred]] and [[Precision]] are active: - Cheap 2-mod jewel - Adds 64 to 103 Cold Damage while affected by Hatred -Gain a Flask Charge when you deal a Critical Strike while affected by Precision - Expensive 3-mod jewel - Adds 64 to 103 Cold Damage while affected by Hatred -1.67% to Critical Strike Chance while affected by Hatred -23% to Critical Strike Multiplier while affected by Precision ### Templar build For example, a [[Ball Lightning]][[Archmage Support]] Inquisitor build would use a Watchers Eye that operates if [[Wrath]] and [[Clarity]] are active: - Cheap 2-mod jewel - 97% increased Critical Strike Chance while affected by Wrath -10% of Damage taken from Mana before Life while affected by Clarity (see Mana before Life) - Expensive 3-mod jewel - 55% increased Lightning Damage while affected by Wrath - Damage Penetrates 12% Lightning Resistance while affected by Wrath - 10% of Damage taken from Mana before Life while affected by Clarity (see Mana before Life) ### Duelist build For example, a [[Cyclone]] Gladiator build would use a Watchers Eye that operates if [[Pride]] is active: - Cheap 2-mod jewel - 25% chance to Impale Enemies on Hit with Attacks while using Pride - 54% increased Attack Physical Damage while using Pride - Expensive 3-mod jewel - 25% chance to Impale Enemies on Hit with Attacks while using Pride - Impales you inflict last 2 additional Hits while using Pride - 54% increased Attack Physical Damage while using Pride
