# 持續時間 **持續時間** is a keyword and refers to attribute of certain effects that continue over time. Specify how long effect remains. **Similar effects** - Expiration rate is not calculated the same as duration, but they both are capable of making certain game mechanics last a longer or shorter time. ## 例外 Duration refers to mechanic of effects not to mechanic of [action](Action_speed). Similar characteristics being not related with duration attribute: - [[cooldown]] - [[cast speed]] - [[attack speed]] - [[throwing speed]] - [[trap]]持續 ## 機制 The duration of a skill effect can be altered with [[modifiers]] such as <span class="explicitMod">#% increased/reduced [effect] Duration</span> where all increased/reduced modifiers are summed together and <span class="explicitMod">#% more/less [effect] Duration</span> where the product of all more/less modifiers are calculated. The total duration value can be calculated as the sum of any added duration, multiplied by the sum of all increases and reductions to duration, multiplied by all more and less duration modifiers.  ## 技能效果持續時間詞綴 The <span class="explicitMod">Skill Effect Duration</span> mod can increase or reduce the duration of skills with this [[keyword]]. Specific types of duration effects such as [[curse]]s or [[trap]]s can also have their durations modified by passives or items. Buffs which are not created by a skill cannot have their duration altered. Generic skill duration modifiers do not affect the lifetime of [[totem]]s, [[trap]]s or [[mine]]s.
