Steps

Complete the following steps to obtain a Whakatutuki o Matua.

1. Obtain/buy The Mentor prophecy and activate it
2. Obtain/buy Matua Tupuna and carry it in your inventory
3. Obtain and activate the Basilica Map in your map device
4. Kill The Cleansing Light
5. You will obtain a new Whakatutuki o Matua in your inventory

Version history

Version	Changes
3.19.0	Fated Uniques can no longer be acquired. The special modifiers on some Fated Uniques have been moved to the base version of that Unique. More information can be found in the Version 3.19.0#Rebalance of Unique Items section.
3.17.0	Removed the Prophecy mechanic from the game, and moved many of its rewards to other content. Fated Unique Items not mentioned explicitly in the version 3.17.0 patch notes now have a chance to drop from any endgame map boss. This is a temporary measure to maintain their availability. They will be moved to a new acquisition system in a future expansion.
3.10.1c	All sources of "x% increased Effect of Auras on you" now instead grant "x% increased Effect of Non-Curse Auras from your Skills on you".{{efn|name=actualchange}}
3.10.1	x% increased Effect of Auras on You modifiers no longer apply to enemy debuff auras.
