    Grants Level 1 Icestorm Skill– The Whispering Ice grants level 1 Icestorm. Icestorm will be supported by any applicable support gems socketed into The Whispering Ice; the sockets do not have to be linked.

    The Whispering Ice has a hidden modifier "Plays Whispering Ice sound on killing a rare Monster". In earlier versions of Path of Exile, this may have caused a ghostly sound effect to play when killing a rare or unique monster. Currently, it does not appear to do anything.
