    Die Wächterin der TraufeSolltet Ihr sie sehen, {lauft}. Ihr Heulen ist ein Omen und ihre Berührung bedeutet den sicheren Tod. Sie ist die bösartigste der Namenlosen, aber, zu unserem Glück, ist sie in ihrem Zorn eher unbedacht. Wäre sie so kalt und berechnend wie der König in den Nebeln, dann wären wir alle dem Untergang geweiht.
    Die Urzeitliche JägerinIch habe mich lange gefragt, welchen Platz dieses Wesen in der natürlichen Ordnung einnimmt. Ich bin zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass sie eine Manifestation des Schmerzes der Namenlosen ist, diese unermessliche Vielzahl und die Ewigkeit ihrer stummen Schreie im Reich des schattenhaften Nicht-Seins. Jemand muss ihr vor langer Zeit einen Namen gegeben haben, aber vielleicht werden wir nie wissen, wie sie genannt wurde ... und bis wir es wissen, kann sie niemals wirklich verbannt werden.
