Ancestral Warchief

Ancestral Warchief is a skill that creates a totem which will attack enemies with melee AoE slams while the character stands close to it. Being near it also increases the character's damage. Ancestral Warchief has an attack speed multiplier of 90%.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Multistrike: Ancestral Warchief can be supported by Multistrike Support. However Vaal Ancestral Warchief does not work with this support.
  • Fortify: Linking Fortify Support to Ancestral Warchief will cause the totem, and not the player, to gain Fortify on melee hit. This appears to be the way for a totem to have Fortify and with the Ascendant Champion Node. Totem can gain Fortify with a 14-20% chance when it stuns an enemy while wearing Perseverance.
  • Multiple Totems: Melee damage buff does not stack when multiple totems are summoned. Totem Attack Range: The range at which the totem strikes is affected by the weapon range of the equipped weapon and modifiers to weapon range.[1]
  • Area of Effect: Modifiers to area radius affect both the range at which the totem strikes, as well as the radius of the attack.
  • Activation: The totem is active as long as the player remains within a 80 unit radius of it. Initial activation also requires line of sight with the player, but this can be broken once the totem has become active.[2]#
