Unarmed
Unarmed damage is a form of attack damage dealt by a character that does not have a weapon equipped. While it is unusual for most characters to ever use an unarmed attack, character builds based on unarmed damage can be made viable by using Facebreaker, Doryani's Fist, or Hollow Palm Technique. Ranged unarmed builds are possible with "Explosive Concoction".
Mechanics
Every character's unarmed attack has a base attack speed of about 1.2 attacks per second (0.83 second attack time) and a base critical strike chance of 0%. The range of unarmed attacks is 6 units, shorter than the range of any melee weapon. The base physical damage of an unarmed attack varies by class:

A character with a shield or quiver equipped can still use an unarmed attack. However, skills that use offhand equipment, like Spectral Shield Throw, are not considered unarmed attacks. If a character doesn't have any main or offhand equipment and is not wearing any gloves, then that character is considered Unencumbered.
