General's Cry
General's Cry is a warcry skill that taunts nearby enemies, and summons a number of mirage warriors from nearby corpses based on the power of nearby enemies and corpses. Mirage warriors deliver an exerted attack once with the linked trigger skill then disappear.
The gem has two parts, General's Cry the active skill and the closely associated General's Cry Support.
Skill functions and interactions
Counts total Power of Enemies and Corpses in Range.
Requires 1 Corpse per General even with* Redblade Banner *(3 corpses = 3 generals) does NOT work with Projectile skills UNLESS they have the MELEE tag as well.
Corpses: General's Cry works very well with Desecrate (self casted or with Cast while Channelling Support and Cyclone) to create corpses. Alternatively Corpsewalker boots which grant Level 20 Corpse Walk can be used allowing for smoother playstyle. It can also be used with the combination of Raise Zombie and Aukuna's Will who allows the zombies to be used as corpses. Corpses are not consumed when used by the skill.
Exert: The attacks from the Mirage Warriors count as Exerted. This means that bonuses which directly affect Exerted attacks will apply to their attacks, such as Berserker's War Bringer. Exerts granted to the player via other warcries do not apply to the Mirage Warriors, Increasing the number of maximum exerts has ZERO effect on General's Cry rendering the Measured Fury notable worthless. They are considered separate entities from the player, but use the player's attacks, similar to totems.
Cooldown Recovery and Duration: When it comes to Cooldown Recovery General's Cry is a bit different, while it might seem like a good idea to have the ability on as low of a cooldown as possible it could actually be the opposite. This is entirely skill dependent. For close range skills such as Earthshatter Mirage Warriors still have to path to their target(s) meaning that should you cast General's Cry too quickly then not all of the Mirage Warriors will find a target in time. On the other hand we have Teleporting skills like Flicker Strike that will instantly travel to their target(s) on cast allowing for more Mirage Warriors to reach their target(s) between General's Cry casts. Increases and reductions to duration has an affect on how long the Mirage Warriors "live" to path / use their attacks and NOT how long they channel.
Mirage Warriors: Mirage Warriors do not grant on hit effects such as *Life Gain on Hit, Leech, Rage Support, Corrupting Fever etc...*Mirage Warriors also do not grant on kill effects from weapons or spells such as the Frenzy charge on kill modifier on Daresso's Passion or from Blood Rage, However they do cause things such as the Great Old One's Tentacles on kill effects to activate. Mirage Warriors do apply global on hit effects and ailments such as (Ex: Dreadarc) Curses, Impale, Bleed, Poison, Ignite, Shock, Chill and Freeze. They do not apply trigger on hit effects such as Trigger Level 8 Assassin's Mark when you Hit a Rare or Unique Enemy. Mirage Warriors do not appear to gain movement speed (outside of gem quality) though this requires further testing.
Mirage Warrior Behavior: Mirage Warriors from General's Cry will follow the mouse where clicked if they do not have a target. When they have a target, they will move directly to the target to attack, except in the case of Consecrated Path where they teleport to the target. Mirage warriors will target the strongest enemy nearby when multiple targets are available. When using Charged Dash or Blade Flurry Mirage Warriors immediately begin channeling toward any target in their line of sight which may exceed the damaging area of the skill.
Mirage Spawning: Mirage Warriors do not spawn all at once when you use General's Cry. Instead, the first mirage spawns ~300ms after the cast and subsequent mirages spawn one by one with an interval of ~200ms. It doesn't seem to be possible to reduce these spawning timings. Active Mirages will finish their attack and despawn when using General's Cry again.
