1 | Kill Brutus The Warden, Brutus, has blockaded Axiom Prison. Kill him to get through. Area: The Prison NPC: Life is like wine, best enjoyed in moderation. I don't envy Brutus' hangover. Brutus was Warden of Axiom Prison and one of the most feared men in the Eternal Empire. But there the histories end... and the myth begins, with Brutus commissioning a witch to transform him, in a mad attempt at immortality. A moment of hubris that didn't end well... for anyone. If it's true then Brutus has my pity. Some of us pay too dearly for our mistakes. Yet if you insist on learning from your own mistakes then please, take one of these. You might need it. Area: Prisoner's Gate NPC: The portable oven turned out to be less of an oven and more of a red-hot ember dispenser. Still quite popular. And of course, the towers I have been assembling for use in protecting the portable-purifying-pumping unit. Those I am particularly proud of. Powered by the toxic fluid that runs through the fungal fibres. Surprisingly robust, and safe! Relatively safe. Almost no one has died yet who wasn't meant to. I do not regret that he is dead, only that it was by my hand. My master was a sick man, with dark proclivities. A sickness of the mind that no alchemy could hope to cure. And he passed that sickness onto me. I was never violent until that day. Until that day, I could not fathom how one man could take the life of another. But Lucan drew out of me an anger I did not know I was capable of experiencing. It overcame me. Forced me out of my own body. And by the time I was in control again, my master was dead. That anger, that darkness is still in me, Exile. And that is why we are here. I killed my master. I do not regret that he is dead, only that it was by my hand.
