    Blight-ravaged Maps

    Blight-ravaged Maps are generally not as rewarding as regular Blighted Maps given the time investment and difficulty increase.
    Improve the reward for increasing the difficulty of Blight-ravaged Maps.
    Blight-ravaged Maps now have "Map's Item Quantity Modifiers also affect Blight Chest count at 40% value" (previously 20%). This change affects existing items.
  • The Spreading Rot Unique Jewel is now limited to 1 (previously 2), this change affects existing items. It no longer has "With at least 40 Intelligence in Radius, Blight has 50% increased Hinder Duration". Instead, it now has "With at least 40 Intelligence in Radius, Blight has 30% reduced Cast Speed". Existing items can be updated to the new stat with a Divine Orb.
  • Blight: Base Secondary Duration is now 1.00 seconds (previously 0.80 seconds).
  • Updated - It is now possible to have multiple Blight Encounters in a single Area through the new Blight Atlas Passive Skills.

  • The Blightwell Unique Talisman now grants “50% slower start of Energy Shield Recharge during any Flask Effect” (previously 30%), and “150-200% increased Energy Shield Recharge Rate during any Flask Effect” (previously 400%).

  • You can now find Blight Scarabs from various sources. Each Scarab guarantees a Blight encounter in an Area, with higher-tier Scarabs guaranteeing an additional Blight Boss, a 50% chance for Blight Chests to contain an additional Reward, or Blight Lanes to contain an additional Reward Chest.
    • Added three new Incubators related to Blight, Delirium and Metamorph.

    Content Update 3.8.0 -- Path of Exile: Blight

    The Blight Challenge League

  • In the Blight League, strange fungal growths have begun appearing across Wraeclast, infecting those who come in contact with them, and wresting control of their minds. Sister Cassia, a new NPC, is trying to put a stop to this spreading infection, but she needs your help.
  • Among the loot dropped by the Blight, you'll find Oils, a new type of item. With two Oils, Cassia can Anoint rings with powerful tower-boosting effects. With three, she can Anoint your amulet with one of the Notable Passives from the Passive Skill Tree, opening up incredibly powerful new build possibilities!
  • Later on, you may discover Blighted Maps -- Maps so deeply infected by the Blight that all the ordinary monsters have fallen under its sway. These endgame Blight encounters will put your tactical tower-building skills to the test.
  • With 3.8.0, there are Standard, Hardcore and Solo Self-Found variations of the Blight challenge league available. They have the same core mechanics and items. You can create private league versions of these leagues, with mods that make the game harder.
  • The new challenge leagues include a set of 40 new challenges. When you complete 12 challenges, you will receive the Blight Helmet. When you reach 24 challenges, you will receive the Blight Portal effect. At 36 challenge completed you'll receive the Blight Wings. These microtransactions are only obtainable in this league.
  • From the 19th challenge onwards and for every third challenge after that, you will receive pieces of the Blight Totem Pole decoration to display in your hideout. The Totem Pole permanently showcases how many of the Blight challenges you completed during the league.

    Blight

    Blight is a channelling spell that deals chaos damage over time to all enemies in the area in front of the caster.

    Skill functions and interactions

    • Damage over time: Modifiers to spell, chaos damage, and damage over time affect the damage over time component of this spell.

    • Area of effect: Increasing or decreasing the area works as expected, but area damage (from e.g. Concentrated Effect Support) does not apply.

    • Blight does not hit and therefore cannot be supported by added damage supports such as Added Chaos Damage Support and cannot confer the effects of supports such as Blind Support or Hextouch Support. Additionally, on hit effects such as Leech, poison, or life gain on hit will not occur while using Blight. Despite not hitting, Blight will break pots, baskets, cairns, etc. within its area of effect.

    • Blight and Vaal blight both count towards the maximum limit of 20 debuffs per monsters.
