BarrageBarrage is a ranged attack skill that fires all of your bow or wand projectiles rapidly in succession.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Additional Projectiles: Linking LesserMultipleProjectilesLesser Multiple Projectiles Support or GreaterMultipleProjectilesPlusAwakened Greater Multiple Projectiles Support (GreaterMultipleProjectilesGreater Multiple Projectiles Support) to Barrage will increase the total number of projectiles fired. For example, when using Lesser Multiple Projectiles, a total of 7 projectiles will be fired (1 base, +4 from Barrage gem, +2 from Lesser Multiple Projectiles Gem). Wearing a helmet enchanted with Barrage fires an additional Projectile will further increase this total. All projectiles fired can strike the same target, potentially dealing damage up to 13 times (1 base, +4 from Barrage gem, +2 from LMP, +5 from Awakened GMP, +1 from enchant) to a single target when using all three effects. However, the less damage multipliers from LMP and GMP also applies to the dps. Using ShapersFlaskDying Sun as well as item mods such as Skills fire # additional Projectile(s), Bow Attacks fire # additional Arrow(s) are recommended instead. Barrage can be supported by GreenBarrageSupportGemBarrage Support, but that support gem has less damage multiplier as well as more attack time per projectiles.

  • ParallelProjectileVolley Support: Linking this gem will cause Barrage's projectiles to be fired in sequence in five parallel lines.

  • BarrageModifierVolley Fire: This jewel will fire an additional twelve projectiles per attack, six on the first and last attack, with the added projectiles spread to the sides. These additional projectiles cannot strike the same target as the main projectiles and will in fact pass through them harmlessly (though subsequent projectiles generated via effects such as chain could bounce to the primary target).

    • Example: A user wearing a helmet with +1 Additional Barrage Projectiles and with BarrageModifierVolley Fire slotted will fire a total of 18 projectiles per attack. A maximum of 6 can strike the primary target; all other targets may be struck by a maximum of 1 projectile.
  • Dual wielding: The total number of projectiles fired by Barrage does not change while wielding two weapons. An attack with Barrage uses both weapons, alternating between each weapon for each projectile fired.

  • RangedAttackTotemBallista Totem Support: This one is not recommended. The firing rate slowdown of the totem also applies to the firing rate of each shot of the Barrage and it can't start another while one is going so the overall firing rate (and therefore DPS) will be VERY slow. Not only that, the totem cannot turn while in the middle of a particular Barrage; while the first shot might hit the target the rest will miss if it moves even a little (a very extreme weakness in PvP in particular).

  • The small randomized spread covers a small angle of approximately 20 degrees.
