Performs a melee attack, and causes lightning to strike a targeted location or nearby enemy, dealing damage in an area. If the melee strike hits a target, that enemy cannot also be hit by the area damage. If this skill hits an enemy, you gain an aura buff, granting you and your allies additional lightning damage for a duration. Requires a Sword, Axe, Mace, Sceptre, Staff or Unarmed.

Ancestral Call SupportAllows Smite to target two additional nearby enemies. As Smite is an area of effect attack, this support can result in areas where damage overlaps, greatly increasing damage.
Melee Physical Damage SupportGrants more melee physical damage for Smite. Because 50% of physical damage is converted to lightning damage, this support will also increase the lightning damage done by Smite.
Physical to Lightning SupportConverts 50% of Smite's physical damage to lightning damage, as well as providing extra lightning damage based on your physical damage. Because 50% of physical damage is already converted to lightning from the skill gem this causes all physical damage with Smite to deal lightning damage instead.
Elemental Damage with Attacks SupportMultiplies the elemental damage done by Smite. Converting all physical damage from Smite to elemental damage maximizes the benefit this support provides.
Multistrike SupportCauses Smite to repeat an additional two times, as well as providing a large bonus to attack speed.
Elemental Focus SupportRemoves the ability for Smite to inflict elemental ailments, such as shock, on enemies. However, it significantly boosts the amount of elemental damage Smite does. Converting all physical damage from Smite to elemental damage maximizes the benefit this support provides.

Smite

Smite is a Melee Attack skill where the user strikes an enemy or location. Every hit creates a circle as secondary effect that damages all enemies inside its area with damage (not only lightning damage but all sorts of damage) and grants a temporary Aura that grants added lightningintLightning Damage and [[shock]] chance.

Skill functions and interactions

  • The lightning damage blastradiusArea of Effect caused by this skill does not count as a melee [[hit]] for purposes of effects like Fortify.
  • MirageStrikeAncestral Call Support causes this skill to create multiple AoEs if there are multiple enemies in range.
  • Hits while using MirageStrikeAncestral Call Support or any other form of Strike Skills target an additional nearby Enemy allow for both the melee hit portion of the skill to hit as well as the area damage to hit, area damage dealing 30-20% less damage effectively dealing 170%-180% damage if positioned correctly.
