    Static Strike

    Static Strike is a melee Strike Attack skill that builds up static energy on you whenever you strike an enemy, rapidly dealing damage to nearby enemies while you have energy stored.

    Skill functions and interactions

    • Static charge: The initial hit applies a static charge to the player, activating the beam effect for three seconds.
    • Static discharge: The beams possess the Chaining tag, start with +1 chain, and can spread through packs if the user has additional chains from some source such as Chain Support or Touch of Anguish.
    • Melee: The beams appear to qualify as a melee attack for most or all purposes, making Static Strike capable of maintaining effects like Fortify Support for a long time with just one hit.
    • Area of Effect: The Beams are affected by increases or reductions to Area of Effect, but aren't affected by increases or reductions to Area Damage.
    • Beam damage is affected by modifiers to damage of the attack that caused the beam. These modifiers continue to work the entire duration. For example:
