Static Strike

Static Strike is a [[melee]] [[strike]] [[attack]] skill that builds up static energy on you whenever you strike an enemy, rapidly dealing damage to nearby enemies while you have energy stored.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Static charge: The initial hit applies a static charge to the player, activating the beam effect for three seconds.
  • Static discharge: The beams possess the Chaining tag, start with +1 chain, and can spread through packs if the user has additional chains from some source such as chainChain Support or TouchOfAnguishTouch of Anguish.
  • Melee: The beams appear to qualify as a melee attack for most or all purposes, making Static Strike capable of maintaining effects like FortifyGemFortify Support for a long time with just one hit.
  • Area of Effect: The Beams are affected by increases or reductions to Area of Effect, but aren't affected by increases or reductions to Area Damage.
  • Beam damage is affected by modifiers to damage of the attack that caused the beam. These modifiers continue to work the entire duration. For example:
