Shockwave Support

Shockwave Support is a Support gem that causes the supported attack skill to release a Shockwave on hit, dealing attack damage to enemies around the enemy. It causes the supported skill to be restricted to staves and maces.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Ancestral Call Support, Ancestral Cry, and Tribal Fury: Additional targets attacked will proc the shockwave, provided additional stored uses are available.

  • Area of effect attacks: Shockwaves will proc for each enemy hit by area of effect attacks, as long as there are charges available. For example, when supporting Earthshatter, Shockwaves will proc for the initial hit, each enemy hit by each fissure, and each enemy hit by each of the shattering spikes, with every instance consuming a stored use. This makes it a good choice for slow- and single-hitting skills, and a poor one for every other type of melee attack as the charges will deplete too rapidly.

  • The effect of Shockwave is independent of the proccing hit's damage, but is affected by linked support gems.

  • Shockwave cannot be exerted by warcries.
