Corpse
Most creatures leave corpses on when killed. Totems, shattered monsters, and enemies removed by certain effects cannot leave corpses.
Mechanics
Corpses can be utilized in several ways, for example:
- Created (e.g.
Desecrate,
Unearth)
- Raised (e.g.
Raise Spectre, Necromancer monsters)
- Exploded (e.g.
Detonate Dead,
Volatile Dead,
Cremation,
Bodyswap, strongboxes with the Putrifying prefix)
- Consumed (e.g. Offering,
Devouring Totem,
Dominating Blow,
Void Sphere,
Feast of Flesh (from
The Devouring Diadem), monsters with the "Mark of Cannibalism" bloodline, etc.)
- Destroyed (e.g.
Pyre,
Kitava's Feast)
Skills
Corpses can be targeted by holding the A key by default, but only if the player has a skill that can target corpses.
